South American Slaw

South American Slaw is one of my favorites when I’m eating spicy barbeque. Usually I make my brisket spicy and this slaw compliments it perfectly. The tanginess with a hint of sweet calms my taste buds down enough for me to enjoy spicy foods. Here is the recipe, so you to can try to enjoy it!


  • 3 to 5 lbs of chopped or shredded slaw mix (depending on how wet or dry you want it)
  • 2 cups Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Lime Juice
  • Mayo (optional)

Combine all ingredients except slaw, mayo and mix well. Add slaw mix to this dressing then add desired amount of mayo. Store in fridge for 2 hours, stir then serve.

I like it without the mayo
